Role Overview

The ECM Services Supervisor ensures the quality of services provided by the ECM Services Unit addressing clinical and non-clinical circumstances of high-need clients enrolled in Medi-Cal managed care. Works under the direction of the ECM Services Unit Manager/Director and provides direct supervision for ECM Lead Care Managers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and staff development training for ECM Lead Care Managers
  • Ensure ECM strategies are whole-person centered, linguistically and culturally appropriate
  • Guide Lead Care Managers in client safety steps; provide immediate escalation consultation
  • Monitor quality improvement through documentation review, clinical consultations, and peer review
  • Oversee charting and documentation standards per ECM contracts with Managed Care Plans
  • Conduct staff performance reviews
  • Support recruitment, hiring, and technical assistance for unit staff
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programmatic service delivery
  • Manage contract compliance including documentation and evaluation activities
  • Establish and maintain liaison with community organizations for outreach and engagement
  • Attend ECM unit meetings, trainings, and events

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree + 6 years experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree + 4 years, OR Master’s Degree + 2 years
  • Experience in care coordination/case management for SMI, SUD, or child welfare populations
  • Strong documentation, communication, and professional judgment skills
  • Valid Class C California Driver’s License with proof of auto insurance

Compensation

Part-Time Starting Rate: $26.00 – $34.00 per hour Rate is commensurate with experience.
Full-Time Salary: $62,000 – $74,000 per year
Rates are competitive with LA County and Orange County market standards for ECM Supervisor roles. Pay increases are available based on performance and experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements

All candidates must meet the following requirements prior to their start date:

  • TB Test (Tuberculosis Screening) — A current negative TB test result is required. This must be completed and cleared before your first day.
  • Background Check — All candidates must successfully pass a DOJ/FBI LiveScan fingerprint background check. A criminal history does not automatically disqualify you; records are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Please note: All positions require candidates to pass a TB (tuberculosis) test prior to starting employment.
